Under this avenue of service, the club undertakes a yearly project on career guidance seminar for graduating high school students, sponsored extemporaneous speech contests, and oratorical contest on the subject of Rotary's Four Way Test.

MEMBERSHIP FAIR AND FELLOWSHIP

     To jumpstart the drive for more members, RC West holds a yearly Membership Fair and Fellowship activity.  The main objective of this event is to have an integrated approach in addressing the membership development problems of Rotary, and provide an opportunity to work together with other clubs and foster camaraderie among all Rotarians.

     RC West launched a Joint Fellowship and Membership Fair last September 8, 2006 at the VIP Hotel with its daughter clubs - RC Carmen Valley, RC Far East CDO, RC Carmen Valley West, RC Center Point, and RC Uptown CDO.  RC West obtained the following milage:

• Involvement and participation of six (6) Clubs with about 130 Rotarians

• Allowed Rotarians to invite prospective members

• Presentation of candidates for membership from all clubs

• A presentation of Rotary Information

• Support to daughter Clubs in membership development

• Induction of new members to the club

VOCATIONAL SERVICE

     This avenue of service is the foundation of the Rotary organization and serves as the administrative machinery of the Club's activities.  Through this service, recruitment of members is realized and the assimilation and retention of members is made possible.

MOST OUTSTANDING PUBLIC SCHOOL TEACHER AWARD (MOPSTA)

     This is a continuing project of the Club which has been in existence since RY 1994-1995.  This project aims to recognize the outstanding public school teachers in the elementary, secondary and special education in the Northern Mindanao Region based on the belief that education is a vital and important component of the development of the youth, and school teachers deserve proper recognition in moulding the youth as useful citizens of the community.

     The search for MOPSTA with the cooperation of the Department of Education (DepEd) was launched last October 13, 2006 with Media Coverage.  By February 9, 2007, all applications with complete requirements were turned over by DepEd Regional Staff to the club's MOPSTA Committee for Evaluation.

     MOPSTA Committee travels to various schools in various provinces to do actual observation of performance and teaching methods as well as interview teachers.
